about

Conspiracy Cocktail Bar is one of my absolute favorite places to play.

Located in an old theater on the main strip in Middletown, CT, Conspiracy is truly one of a kind. The entrance is not obvious and when you open the door you immediately have to climb lots of stairs to the building's second floor. There you turn left and enter a room that resembles the 1930's where the bars were still very dimly lit and hip tunes are being played. Not to forget to mention that the drinks are some of the best you'll ever have.

Starting in 2018, my band began a residency at Conspiracy. The bar is the love and spirit of its owners Jen & Mark Sabo. I could not ask for more supportive club owners. It was actually their idea to record live at the bar.

Props to Andy Kosiba, who plays piano in many of my projects. He was able to capture the band in an energetic and creative vibe, with a rowdy and fun crowd. This album wouldn't sound so good without both of those factors.

This album sounds the way it does because it captures one of my favorite rhythm sections to play with, performing the same tunes you can catch when it's our night playing the room. There's a sense of ease and cerebral locking in going on. Get this album simply for Pat, Eneji and Avery's interplay. This band makes playing very easy for me. They're also three of the best musicians I know.

Lastly, thank you to my wonderful and beautiful wife, Jillian. I could spend the entire liner notes thanking her for her endless love and support, but it's way easier to just listen for her on the album. She's the loudest one in the audience -- cheering the band on.
